All-you-can-eat returns to the Strip

A Las Vegas staple returned to the Strip last week. Wynn opened its reimagined buffet to a lot of fanfare- and even more questions.

A Vegas buffet isn’t a normal restaurant. It’s a place where you went to unleash your wild, glutinous side as you devoured plate after plate of food. More crab legs? Go push your way between the family of four crowded around the seafood station. Another slice of cake? Head to the mammoth dessert station. Quintessentially Vegas, but impractical during the current coronavirus outbreak.

Wynn’s kept the bloated menu and hundreds of food choices while ditching the self-serve aspect. Instead of roaming around the room finding good things to eat, a waiter will bring portions to your table. Here’s how the Wynn describes the experience:

“Bringing the buffet to the guests, diners will now order a selection of dishes with their server from a menu. Well-portioned versions of their selections will then be delivered to the table, with the option to reorder as many times as desired within a two-hour period.”
